Theme:
The Essence of Evil

Bible Verses: 1 Peter 5:

8b Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to
devour. 9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your
brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings.

Wow, what a picture painted with perfection . . . a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

Evil is kinda like April; it comes in as a lamb, but goes out with a lion. When you first start to sin it is so easy going, and nothing is wrong but when you go to get rid of it; it sinks it's teeth and claws into your neck and shoulders. That's because at the begining you are making the enemies good easy and not destorying his work. Though, when you want to over come your sin, you are rocking the Devil's wayward ship, and thus he will try everything in his power to keep you from getting out of his grip.

He wants to do everything in his power to:

Sympathize with the him (the devil), and his temptation.
Aid his temptation.
Break your association with God.
Make it seem as though it is God giving you hardships instead of him.

We see this in Job. The devil wanted Job to curse God for taking everything away from him but the devil had to ask permission from God to steal Job's possessions. Why did he have to ask . . . because Job was God's not the Devil's. He was trying to see if he could brake Job's connection with God. So, the devil could show God up (so, to speak). What in sence he was basically telling God . . . yet again was, "I more powerful then you. Hahah, look at me!!! I will steal your children right from under your hand." This shows that Satan was not regretful of this sin of trying to overthrow God in the first place. This also shows us that Satan even recognizes God's great power.

If you connect this verse with another in the Bible that basically say, "God will not allow anything to happen to you that you can not bare." Then, we can assume that God knew that Job had a strong enough faith in God, to not be discouraged by the wiles of the devil.

I'm sorry, it took so long for this issue of Breeze from The Shattered Church. I originally planned this sermon to be totally different then the one stated above (I'm sure God didn't). This week has been hard for me. I have felt like no one is reading these post, and no one really cares except like one or two people. This morning God reissued it in my heart that there is a purpose for this church, and so have my friends. I just hope, I'm not kidding myself. But I am a little self centered thinking this. If God wants me to do this, I need to be in the wholeway; not halfway out when the troubled water comes. I have declared war on the Devil and now he is doing everything in his power to keep me from doing this!

So, Satan THIS MEANS WAR!!!

Let us pray:

Lord, let us shatter the work of the Devil every day. Give us strength to overcome the lies that he whispers in our ears ever day. Sometimes, it just seems like we wage war for nothing, other times it feels like we do it for our very breath. Please, heal us of any plagues the Devil had put on us to try to take us to the Pit of Despair with him. He doesn't care about us, only You can care about your followers, and he only cares about himself. So, let us see for now on that it is Satan attacking and not you. Change our heart and our thoughts about you as well as those that sin against us. Heal us from the inside out. In you most wonderful and prescious name, AMEN.

Let the Children Come Unto Him

Bible Verse:
Matthew 10:13-14

“13 Then little children were brought to Him that He might put His hands on them and pray, but the disciples rebuked them. 14 But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.”

How many parents give their children something to fear besides God . . . why? Do they really need anything else to be scared? Are they not putting these other thing more powerful then God? Let us look deeper into this . . .

How many people remember the scare from Harry Potter/Witchcraft? Who knows the newest scare? Well, it just recently came to the big screen; what is it you ask . . . The Golden Compass/Atheism. Why do we fear these things? God stated these things:

1) "Do not be afraid. God has come to test you, so that the fear of God will be with you to keep you from sinning." ~Exodus 20:20
2) “You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.” ~1 John 4:4

Do we not believe him? I don’t sometimes. This disbelief reminds me of Moses; even when God told him that He would be Moses’ voice, Moses still didn’t believe Him.

You might think you are protecting your children from these things but do you remember what you did when your mother said, “Keep your fingers out of the cookie jar”? Wasn’t the temptation about two-times worst? Plus, your fingers most likely end up in the cookie jar. So, where do your kid’s minds eventually go . . . To the things you want them to keep away from. I mean they are so powerful. Why wouldn’t they want to get power (knowledge) . . . sounding, like a Bible story to you? How about a particular tree and the fall of man? Adam and Eve being tempted by the snake (Devil) to eat of its fruit (from The Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil). Adam didn’t even listen to God, what makes you think that your children will listen to you. They want the Knowledge of Evil. What do they need? You say a beating, no! They need Knowledge of the Good that over comes this evil. Satan already has enough power; let’s not give him more over the minds of our children. Education is the key to power. If, you aren’t guiding them through these books, that doesn’t partially mean they will turn into a witch or an Atheist (look at me, I turned out ok; but my parent’s still tell me I fill my mind with garbage). If, you are, you are showing them that whatever these books possess doesn’t even come close to the awesome power of Jesus Christ.

Don’t let your children be in need of you today . . . show that you are there for them . . . they need you today . . . be there . . . don’t make empty promises . . . they cry out for your guidance and they can’t feel it when they need it them most. Show them that you are there for them and that they're never alone because God is always aiding them fighting their monsters.

Break the bonds, Satan has over you or your children, and mend God’s power over your family’s life. Let God’s Breeze flow through you, and ignite a flame in you children to want to better understand it.

Let’s give God all the power and the glory he deserves . . . all. Don’t let things of this world frighten you or your children! Let us pray:

Dear Lord, give the parent’s strength to teach their children about the deceit of the Devil. Give them courage to speak even if they don’t know the answer, let them find it in You. Lord, help us all to fear you more then the things of this world. For You said, that until we have simplicity a children, we will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Lord, help us and the children to have a child’s faith—like to these monsters—but instead to You and Your Kingdom. It’s in Your most Heavenly Name; we ask these things, Amen.

The Church Vs. Relationship with God (Part 1)

2 Timothy 4:1-5

"1 I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at[a] His appearing and His kingdom: 2 Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. 5 But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry."

How many people feel that there was no need to go to church this morning? Most likely because of one of the following reason:

You feel unwelcome.
You're sick of hearing the same thing every time you go.
You can't stand how every time you go, they tell you that if you have committed a specific sin then you are damned to burn in Hell. (It would be nice if they would mention hope more then they would mention the damnation part!)
You can't stand how two faced most of the people are.
They are all hypocrites. (Don't go around calling people names because judgement is up to GOD.) (Discuse more about this in the coming weeks.)
You find church boring.
Or some other reason just about like the above--I will save naming all of them because the list would be endless!

You don't have to go to churh to feel these things; you could go to church, still feeling these things, but you deal with it--like I do.

When's the last time you even stepped foot in a church? I wish I could say never but I have. If you haven't bravo to you! I feel every Sunday that I have to go to church just because that is the excepted thing to do. I shouldn't feel like that but I do. I wake up at the weirdest hours of the morning just to go to church. That's about the same moment that I commit my first sin of the day. I mean what do you have to get up a six o'clock in the morning for? I mean even to be at church at ten is hard for some people (including me). Some people just want to be well rested before they come to church. Some people have problems sleeping. Others just are not morning people. I would like for church to start around about eleven or twelve (maybe even one). There’s no reason to wake up in the morning cursing just because you have to go to church so early. Yeah, I know most of you have already condemned me but it's true--you have even thought those thoughts before--on Sunday morning. You have even thought, how can, they think it's boring, they are Christians, right; well, the reason is . . . because it is! There is also no reason to have to feel like you have to go to church. You should want to go to church; you should want to give money! Not feel like you have to or the action is just null and void. So, if you feel like you have to do these things, you might as well not do it, until you feel that you want to do it. I mean I don't know what to do about the other people? Maybe after they see a change in enough people, they to will long to change! But someone--me or you, no both--has to start this REVOLUTION! No, you can't say, "I will wait until someone stronger, or more speech-worthy. Then, I will start this revolution, and then I will back them up." No, you are strong enough, your have the right to speak as much as your Pastor does. If you want to get up and preach, and he doesn't allow you; well, then preach outside as the people leave, he can't stop you there! The Church is about to be shattered. It needs to be broken for Christ's sake, and he will put it back together. He has felt your hurt, your pain. He knows everything you’re going through. He has looked at His church, and He has wepted because His churches are being changed into a bunch of hypocritical, immoral, narrow-minded Pharisees that want to make a profit or be higher the everyone else or some other form of disrespect from/in the House of God.

Why are people kicked out of the House of God? Isn't a church supposed to be a place where all are welcomed? Then, why do it? I haven't figured this out. But if there is a problem between two people and they need to not go to the same, church that should be between them to decide who stays and who goes, not the church!!! That, makes whoever gets kick out think that if this church isn't going to except me then who is? That is another reason why some don't go to church! I mean who would want to after you got kicked out of one church, who would go to another just to get hurt again?

Why do people think that the curriculum, they teach in their church has to be kept? God didn't give us normal people a handbook for life, why would He give the church a handbook for how they have to run their church. I mean there are a few rules to go on that God gave the church, but He didn't say, "Pick Zondervan's curriculum because that is the only curriculum, I endorse." He wants the church to be a place of healing! A place where people fellowship and care for one another. A place of sharing, where everyone can share what is going one and help each other in their trouble. It's should be a place of counsel. It should be the buddy system (friends help while healing). Now, I'm not saying it has to be a building; it can be a hillside or a mount. Jesus barely preached in a confined space!!! So, next Sunday go out and enjoy the beauty of God's Creation while you preach or listen or reading these discourses (that is if it's nice.) Don't go catching a cold just because I told you to learn about God outside, and don't go out while the preacher is preaching inside ask him if you could have the service outside some day.

Don't let the church (the building) break your relationship with God, let the Church (the people) help you heal!!! Find a church (that you enjoy), or make up your own church with a couple of friend (just make sure they are real friends, and friend that will keep you on task; not stop you form enjoy the Heavenly Father).

My most trusted Heavenly Father, we come before you today, lifting your Church up to you. Please, Lord, give us the strength to help shatter people's beliefs about the Church. Help people find healing in your name. Lord, please give strength to the pastors, the teachers, the helpers; the people help the start a REVOLUTION for you! It is in you name, we ask this things, Father. In Your Most Heavenly Name, Amen.
